Another bit of History

The city of Natchitoches, Louisiana has a long history … and it is getting longer.  On the 13th of July 2018 I closed on my house there and became a resident.

Superstitious people questioned the wisdom of closing on Friday the 13th … but I thought it a fine way to start a new story.

Friends and relatives had been very good to me during my house search, but it was time for me to get my own place.  This house filled the bill for me … and Sally loved it.

Yes, I can see a lot of good stories coming out of this house … and it makes an excellent first blog post.

So with a bit of luck maybe July 13, 2018 will become an important date in Natchitoches history … it is the date my Natchitoches Days began.
